To the Supernatural Crew,

Yours is the invisible craft. Each week we bear witness to the magic you shape from light, shadow, steel, and fabric. And we are blessed to be such witnesses. So much of the time you disappear into the story, but know that we see you. We know you are there and we are so very grateful that you are there. The writers may bring plot. The cast may bring voice. But you, you bring life. You are the sense and the sound and the other million nuances that dance around and within the screen. Yours is the gift that lingers with us long after the credits roll.

For this gift, we offer you these glasses as gift and acknowledgment. Toast yourselves as we toast you.

To our magical magicians, we wish you many years of continued success. And we thank you for the light, for the sound, for the brick and the mortar, for the cloth and shield. For the world you give us, we can never repay.

Stella Adler once said that talent lies in choice. And as always, we thank you for choosing to play Sam and Dean Winchester. Your choice all those years ago has brought so many, so much. When you are older and this show is far behind you, know that these past nine years you have, every day, given a gift to your fans. Your choice, your talent, has created communities, forged friendships, buoyed spirits, and yes, saved lives. Something about what you do brings us a rare joy, one not shared by any other show. Each success is our success. All of us, those whom you see and those whom you may never see, have a Supernatural story, a story inspired by your talent. And so any gift we give you will always be small in comparison.

No Misha? You fucking spiteful bitch.

Misha should receive a shot glass just like everyone else.

There has to be something wrong with someone who would leave you a comment like the one anonymous left. Please ignore the troll and hear the thanks of the fans who appreciate your recognition of the SPN cast, all of them.

I'm not sure how raising money for charity and to buy gifts for everyone associated with the show makes me disgusting, spiteful or a twat, but you're entitled to your opinion, of course.

I see everyone complaining about misha but not one is asking where Mark's is.speaks volumes imo.thank you for setting this wonderful gift up! I'm glad they see how much they are loved and appreciated.

I explained about Mark on tumblr, but now that you mention it I don't think I did here. Part of the reason some of these people are upset is that we had a water bottle made for Mark with the same logo as the glasses. Mark is a recovering alcoholic, and it seemed in poor taste to give him a shot glass under those circumstances.

How thoughtful of you to not give Mark the alcohol but rather the water bottle. So respectful of you! This was such a wonderful thing you did for the cast, crew and writers - I am sure it means the world to them! Please ignore that anon who is saying such stupid things, you are amazing!

Thank you! I've done my best to ignore for the most part--I've answered a few on tumblr so that I could explain about Mark and that as far as I know Misha DID get a shot glass when everyone else did.

The truth is, no one can take the shine off that weekend--it was wonderful to tell everyone, cast and crew, how much we appreciate them and their dedication and hard work. That was the whole intention here, and I think we succeeded.

Why shot glasses?! They're not teenagers.

We got shot glasses because we wanted to get something they could keep, unlike cake or cookies. Those are great, but we wanted something more permanent. Shot glasses are small and easily customizable. I don't think you have to be a teenager to enjoy them.

Beautiful letters, You guys did well, and I as part of the fandom appreciate it! Sam (Jared) and Dean (Jensen) are the two stars-leads of the show. They started the show way back when, and were recently recognized by the CW and are the "face" of SPN. There was no slight to Misha I don't think, and as part of the show, I am sure he was appreciative of his shot glass. Thanks again!

Yeah...some of the detestielers are a little angry that we chose to honor the whole crew, and gave Jared and Jensen something special for being in all 200 eps. I'm pleased with what we did, tho, and think everyone got an appropriate gift :)

Well, I do think Jared and Jensen should receive special honors for making all 200 episodes of Supernatural. And from what I can see you did include Mark and Misha, along with the cast and crew in your congratulations. Don't let the trolls get you down, I think they would be unhappy no matter what.

I'm just curious why you make no mention of Misha or Mark specifically seeing as both are series regulars. I understand you did the special water bottle for Mark but did it not occur to you at that time that maybe you should do something special for Misha then as well? Misha may not be a recovering alcoholic but I don't think it would have been difficult to get 2 water bottles made instead of 1? Did mark receive a special letter with the bottle? I'm only curious because J2 got a letter and Scotch, the crew got a letter and shot glasses (and if you intended it for Misha too you wouldn't have excluded the writers and cast specifically in that letter), and Mark got a personalized water bottle. So I'm sure you can see why some fans are upset when it seems specifically like you left Misha out?

No, it never occurred to me to get anything special for Misha, or Mark either for that matter, as the shot glasses were intended for everyone. It wasn't until we arrived in Vancouver and were discussing plans with another fan that we were reminded that it might be more respectful to get something different for Mark.

I will concede one point that several of you have made tho: our letter should have been more inclusive of the rest of the cast, or we should have written another one.
