So far?  Best trip ever.  After some initial stress on Tuesday, every thing is going soooo well.  Our room is fantastic, and if anyone is wondering--GET A ROOM ON THE CLUB FLOOR IF YOU CAN.  Gorgeous rooms, comfortable, well stocked lounges with free wifi, drinks and business center, free delicious continental breakfast and hor'deourves every evening, a breathtaking view off the balconies....really wonderful.

I met Sandra, Mary and Amanda at a waterfront pub called Bridges Tuesday night for dinner.  It was just so great to see Sandra again and Mary too!  We sat outside just a few feet from the water watching the sunset and the boats sailing slowly by--it was so peaceful and beautiful we almost didn't want to leave.  But it was getting quite chilly out by the time we finished up (they were bringing out the heaters as we left--in AUGUST!!).

Sandra and I met up with Mary and Audrey (who is really very sweet and fun) and we went on a whirlwind tour of SPN filming sites.  We went out to Boundary Bay Airport first, which has been used in tons of filming.  We found a couple of places where they might have filmed the crossroad scenes (too bad I left my grave dirt and silver at home--I know what I'd be wishing for....) as well as the traintracks where Dean showed Sam how to fix the Impala after Fresh Blood and a couple of places that could have been where Dean took his little stroll after digging his way out in Lazarus Rising as well as tons of other sites and possible sites.

Then it was off to Ladner.  They have filmed there A LOT.  The first thing we saw was the clock tower from Simon Said and In the Beginning, which was odd because one of the four faces was an hour off.  The tower was right next to the Museum Archives ( I can't remember the episode it was in) and we also found the street where Andy stole the Impala and where Sam and Dean broke into the van.  We took a look in South Beach Casuals (Magnificent Seven), but apparently they've decided not to sell shoes anymore lol 'cause there weren't any in the store.  We also visited the church Sam and Dean used for reference in Dead in the Water, and the pastor was very kind and invited us in for a tour and a little history of the church, which is 110 years old and still in fantastic condition.  He remembered the Supernatural crew (he thought, though he admitted he doesn't watch the show) and pointed out Claire's Bed and Breakfast across the street, which was also seen in Dead in the Water.

We had lunch in a great little restaurant called Boots and Sombreros (I had to laugh--I flew from Texas to Canada to eat Tex-Mex lol).  None of us could believe it hasn't been in an episode.  I'll post pics of some of the decor later--it's a hoot for sure, perfect for Sam and Dean.  After lunch we went down to the hotel that the chick from Dead in the Water escorted Dean and Sam to (Must be hard, with your sense of direction....never finding your way to a good pick up line....)

Then we went back to Boundary Bay Airport to visit a site we'd missed--the scene at the end of Everybody Loves a Clown when the boys are walking down the road and talking about John.  Very sad.  And then to make it worse, Mary started playing her "dark" SPN mix and I swear I was about in tears.  So many sad, poignant songs that were just so painful to hear when thinking about Sam and Dean.  I told her she was gonna make me cry and I wasn't even kidding, I guess I am that much of a sappy idiot when it comes to this show lol.

The last place we went was the site where Dean told Sam about John's final orders after Croatoan.  Another sad scene, all the more so because the pain of what was said there was just so jarring against such a beautiful, tranquil setting.  It was so easy to imagine the calm just being torn apart by the emotional violence between them.

EEK gotta go before I miss the Site Tour!
