Hurray!!

Sandra emailed me last night and said the guys loved their gifts!!  Here's exactly what she said in her email:

Jensen had five bodyguards (a bit of an overkill) and so, we were allowed two in at a time. Jensen was first and I presented him with your gifts, told him who they were from and then said “Your Starbucks girl”. Well Vickie, he looked at me and blinked and smiled and then winked. So, I’m sure it’s him whose using the card. His face was just so happy. As far as the mobile and blanket, he was genuinely touched and ever so pleased. He asked me to thank you very much for your kindness and thoughtfulness, as he was rubbing the blanket. It went so excellent.

Then came Jared. He was just beyond, beyond. I undid your adorable dress and held it out for him. He fingered it up and down and in particular the pearl buttons. I explained it was from you and came right from the heart. He said that you have a real talent and that it was beautiful and that he was going to take full credit for the design and making it. It was such a Jared moment. We both had such a good laugh over that. He took it and held it and asked me to thank you so, so much for thinking of him and his family and that it was beautiful.

I'm so happy!  I had a huge smile on my face all day--I'm sure the customers must have thought I was crazy lol.  But I couldn't help it. Every time I thought about how much they liked their gifts and about them thanking me...it was wonderful.  I sort of wish I could have been there too, but I'm sure I would have messed things up (I'm really shy, so I either talk too much or forget how to talk at all sigh).  And Sandra said she is sure Jensen is using his card!  I feel like it's Christmas already lol.

Yes you did lol. So glad you were right. Hearing back from her was such a huge relief :) I was starting to think something had gone wrong and she didn't want to tell me, cause I'm just paranoid like that sometimes lol.
Btw, it's been nice hearing from you :)
Sandra mentioned that Dakota was at this con, too, guess he likes SPN lol....

I completely understand the paranoia. I would be too. lol From what I understand, Dakota is one of Chad's managers or something. We talked to him last time about it but I can't remember what exactly he said but it was something along those lines.

Lol I thought Dakota was a volunteer. He seemed awfully young to be a manager for someone. Goes to show what I know.

I saw on your journal that you're going to be at the NJ con in March. As of right now, I'm planning on going too. My husband has family up there, so he and my daughter are going to visit them whilst I play :) I'm sooooo getting the better end of that deal! lol I haven't gotten my ticket yet, 'cause I'm still trying to decide about gold or just basic (since Jensen won't be there and I'm already going to LA). But I'm definitely getting at least one pic with Jared, since I didn't get any in Dallas.

He started the company himself with a few friends. He manages mostly friends of his and I think he said he's looking to find new people but it's not easy finding anyone worth something and that he spends most of his time with Chad. Which sucks but it's understandable.

I'm still holding out that Jensen will show. It would be totally awesome if he did. I'm going basic either way. I can't afford Gold. :( I wish I were going to LA. The only way I'm going is if I win the lottery.

Unfortunately, Creations has already confirmed that Jensen won't be there. Which totally sucks :( The biggest reason I'm thinking about Gold is, this is probably going to be a fairly small con, meaning the breakfast and dessert party will probably have fewer people, which could be fun. That and the fact that Gold tickets are only $359, which is substantially less than usual.

One of the girls on my yahoo list emailed Adam and he confirmed it to her. Didn't give a reason, just said he wasn't coming :(

Aaaww man! I totally missed out on this because I wasn't around for so long. I was sooo eager to find out what they were thinking about it and I'm so happy for you that they liked their gifts. You're awesome. ;)

I still get a little glow every time I think about it, and it's been two months lol. I'm really nervous now about seeing them in March, if I should ask them if their families liked them. I don't want it to seem like I'm fishing for compliments, but I'm dying to know what they thought. But I still have two months to decide if I have the nerve. I think Sandra is planning to make sure I do--she wants us to do a picture together and I don't think she's going to let me chicken out lol.

So Jensen has 5 body guards? How many Jared has?
And your friend Sandra could actually meet them? In person? She's so lucky!
And you made something for them and they actually receive and using it? I'm sooooo jealous!

Sandra and I love going to Supernatural conventions through Creation Entertainment. I wasn't able to go last November, so I made gifts for Jared and Jensen's families and she was nice enough to give them to the guys at the con. I had a quick moment to speak to them at the LA convention in March, and they both assured me that their families LOVED the gifts. Jensen in particular thanked me several times and told me that his nephew and sister-in-law both loved the turtle blanket :)
I don't know about the bodyguards. Sandra said that Jensen had five guards, but I've spoken with others who were there who said otherwise. So.....I dunno.
